Globeair to build own hangar at Linz Airport

Globeair, its majority owner Friedrich Huemer and CEO and co-owner Bernhard Fragner have decided to build a hangar for the company's own maintenance operations at Linz Airport in order to improve fleet availability to meet increasing customer demand and optimise ongoing maintenance costs.

Planning has already begun and the contracts with the airport were signed in June, so that construction of the facility can begin in spring 2023.

"I expect our own maintenance hangar to optimise our maintenance processes and shorten the downtimes of aircraft for maintenance. The goal of this substantial investment is also to reduce costs in order to remain competitive." - Bernhard Fragner, CEO Globeair. (cj)
