Global Train Services to support small US railroads
The American short line and regional railroad association (ASLRRA) has hired Global Train Services (GTS) as its newest preferred provider. GTS will provide both positive train control (PTC) implementation and support services and grant writing services at a discounted rate to ASLRRA members.
“Our mission is to advance PTC operations for our clients while introducing software tools that leverage the PTC system to gain operational efficiencies for railroads,” GTS explains. ASLRRA represents the interests of 603 US short line and regional railroads which operate a total of 76,445 km in 49 states, or 29% of the US railroad network. (ben)
