GIS for Algiers
Air Partner has completed the time-critical delivery of oversized gas insulated switchgears (GIS), for a major energy company. The cargo was flown from Tianjin Binhai international airport (TSN) to Houari Boumediene international airport (ALG), Algiers.
Careful planning was required to move this oversized equipment. Air Partner’s cargo team in Turkey arranged for it to be trucked from the shipper’s warehouse to TSN and worked closely with the operator to ensure all permits were secured in time.
Two back-to-back flights were operated, with the oversized cargo being loaded onto the Maximus AN-124 aircraft via aircraft internal cranes. Eliska Hill, recently appointed SVP of cargo – UK & ROW: "This project really demonstrates our ability to tailor bespoke solutions for our clients." (ah)
