Germany’s second-largest rail logistics provider
TX Logistik (TXL), a Mercitalia subsidiary, has received the approval from the cartel authorities to take over the railfreight company Exploris Deutschland.
With this acquisition, TXL is now Germany’s second-largest rail logistics company. Exploris' international rail connections are strongly focused on East-West traffic and thus complement TXL's network, which has a strong presence along the European North-South axis.
Exploris serves over eight countries (Germany, Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, and Switzerland) and, with its subsidiaries Via Cargo, HSL Logistik and Delta Rail, operates twelve direct connections. (ben)
