Germany promotes e-fleets
Effective immediately, German municipalities, municipal and commercial companies can resume submitting applications for the procurement of electric vehicles. EUR 20 million in funding have been budgeted to support municipal and commercial fleets in their efforts to shift to climate friendly e-mobility.
The German federal ministry of transport has been supporting the procurement of electric vehicles, including the installation of the necessary fuelling infrastructure, since 2015.
The EUR 20 million package is also intended to reflate the market and ensure that Germany emerges from the current corona crisis economically strengthened, forward-looking and climate oriented. (ben)
