German delight for Chinese consumers
Since summer 2021, the German confectionery brand Reber - known for its "Mozartkugel" - has been gaining a foothold in the Chinese market. The ambitious market entry is being planned and carried out with the Vienna-based Austro-Chinese e-commerce agency Zeevan.
The company has begun a multi-stage application process to join T Mall Global, a platform of the Alibaba Group with an average monthly traffic of 500 million users. It also requires mandatory cooperation with a Chinese T Mall Partner (TP) to manage all e-commerce activities and set up cross-border logistics and fulfilment.
Thanks to Zeevan and Reber's cooperation, Chinese consumers can now order Reber chocolate products at a flagship store and have them delivered directly. (sh)
