General cargo network increases IT security
Mobile Device Management (MDE) tools must be regularly replaced to ensure the quality and stability of a company’s services. IDS has therefore launched the sixth generation of scanners with the latest technology and state-of-the-art applications.
More than 5,000 new MDE devices were successively put into operation in the 54 IDS depots from January 2023 to mid-April 2023. The devices help the general cargo cooperation to further increase its IT security, IDS said.
The new software will enable security updates - centrally controlled - to be uploaded to the PDC devices via the depot clients at predefined time slots. This ensures that the monthly updates are carried out promptly and completely. (ben)
