Garbe realigning the boundaries
Garbe Industrial Real Estate has acquired a brownfield area in Salzgitter in Lower Saxony (Germany). Following a comprehensive redevelopment of the site, Garbe plans to construct a 51,000 sqm logistics property that is scheduled to be commissioned in Q3/2024. It will invest around EUR 43 million in the project.
Garbe took over the property from the rail vehicle manufacturer Alstom. It had built a 30,000 sqm logistics site on Alstom’s factory premises in Salzgitter already back in 2014. The area now acquired is in the immediate vicinity. Initial talks with potential users of the logistics centre are already underway. (sh)
