Galliker joins H2 Mobility Switzerland

Only ten months after founding, the H2 Mobility Switzerland Association has gained another new member in the shape of Galliker Transport & Logistics. The company is yet another haulier that wants to use hydrogen as a future fuel source. The first of 1’000 Hyundai fuel cell electric trucks will start rolling along Switzerland’s roads at the end of this year.

Peter Galliker says: "Thanks to this form of electric mobility, we see an opportunity to take the CO2 emissions from heavy commercial vehicles off the streets – and sustainably produced hydrogen is the ideal energy storage medium. We can quickly fill up and achieve a considerable distance – with the same performance capability as a diesel-fuelled vehicle.”

The members of the H2 promotion association are committed to establishing nationwide tank infrastructure. (mw)
