From emissions-reduced to emission-free

Gruber Logistics recently deployed its first electric truck for Siemens to deliver goods and supplies within a 100 km radius of the Siemens Smart Infrastructure low-voltage switchgear plant in Leipzig, Germany.

Covering an average of 250 km daily, the emission-free truck is powered by electricity generated entirely from renewable sources. The two partners underscored that the transports are therefore not only emission-reduced but entirely emission-free.

The companies expect that this will result in 60,000 km of emission-free transports over the course of the year. Gruber already operates an LNG truck and a bio-LNG-truck for Siemens in Germany. (ben)
