French takeover in Singapore
Singapore-based Keppel Logistics is to be Geodis' next acquisition. The takeover is designed to increase the French Group's contract logistics footprint and e-commerce fulfilment services in Singapore and Southeast Asia, as CEO Marie-Christine Lombard said.
Keppel Logistics is a contract logistics player with close to 500 employees, owning over 200,000 sqm of warehouse space in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
The company offers end-to-end B2B and B2C logistics solutions, from warehousing to last mile delivery, with experience in e-commerce omnichannel service offerings due to its fast-growing "Urban Fox" platform. Geodis currently employs 3,700 people in 76 sites in the Asia Pacific region. (sh)
