Free parking in July
Secure truck parking locations are in short supply on German motorways. With an estimated shortage of 20,000 to 40,000 truck parking spots, long-distance truck drivers are constantly competing for the few spaces available for their break or after work.
The logistics insurer Kravag, a subsidiary of the R+V Group, has therefore developed a car park sharing scheme for trucks. And this is how it works: haulage companies and businesses offer free parking spaces on their premises, which can be booked using an app.
The aim of the offer is to make the search for a parking spot easier. From 1 to 31 July 2024, Kravag will even cover the parking fees for anyone who books their spot via the Truck Parking app. (ben)
