Fred Westdijk named new CEO of Jan de Rijk Logistics
Fred Westdijk is to be the new CEO of Jan de Rijk Logistics. He succeeds Sebastiaan Scholte who left the company on 1 July. Westdijk, currently the company’s director of contract logistics, began his career in 1999 at KLM Cargo and subsequently worked at Exel Logistics, DHL Supply Chain and Jan de Rijk Logistics.
Jan and Jacqueline de Rijk stated: “After a careful selection procedure, it turned out that the right candidate for the position of CEO was already working within Jan de Rijk Logistics. Westdijk understands the challenges of international logistics and has the experience and knowledge that is in line with our strategic objectives." To continue the service provider’s strategic expansion, Don Brewel, presently the commercial director healthcare at DHL Supply, has been hired to replace Westdijk as of 1 November. (mw)
