Frankfurt: more space for life sciences
DHL Supply Chain, DHL Group’s contract logistics department, is extending its Life Sciences & Healthcare (LSH) Campus close to Frankfurt am Main. The new branch is adding a third logistics centre (32,000 sqm) to the multi-user facility specialising in pharmaceutical and medical products.
The new centre is within walking distance of both the existing dedicated warehouse, which DHL has been operating since 2015, and a second site that opened in January 2018.
10,000 pallet slots have been installed in one dedicated section of the facility. Temperature-controlled zones – ambient, cooled and freezer areas for temperatures as low as minus 20° Celsius – are also available. (sh)
