Fr. Meyer’s Sohn reorganises its management board

Heiko Voigt has been appointed managing director at Fr. Meyer’s Sohn with effect from 1 October 2019. The new management board of the German family-owned global forwarding company will then consist of Voigt and Dominik Lucius.

Voigt has 25 years of forwarding experience at Fr. Meyer’s Sohn, where he has served successfully as regional CEO EMEA for the last four years. Lucius has been CFO at Fr. Meyer’s Sohn since 2016 and during this time streamlined the areas of finance, human resources and compliance and put them on a professional footing.

The current CEO, Marc Meier, will leave the management board by the end of the year. Meier positioned Fr. Meyer’s Sohn as a “hidden champion” and “digital leader” in the forwarding industry within the last five years. He wants to pursue new opportunities outside the company.

The current COO, Markus Panhauser, will also leave the management board by the end of the year. Panhauser contributed significantly to the company’s growth strategy. He intends to take on new challenges in the logistics industry. (mw)
