Fourth super B-class vessel joins AAL fleet
AAL Shipping has celebrated the naming of “AAL Antwerp”, the fourth vessel in its eight-strong, super B-class fleet, marking the halfway point in its fleet expansion programme.
The 32,000 dwt multipurpose heavy lift vessel, equipped for methanol fuel and with a combined lifting capacity of 700 t, exemplifies AAL’s commitment to sustainable and versatile shipping solutions for project cargo.
“AAL Antwerp” will now commence her maiden voyage, joining sisterships in serving routes in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. Designed for maximum efficiency, the vessel can carry over 90,000 freight tonnes of mixed cargo, catering to diverse shipping needs on a single voyage.
In addition to active training programmes and state-of-the-art systems, AAL's investment in fleet expansion, positions the company to address the evolving challenges of the shipping sector. (pb)
