Four units for Fiege in Leipzig
Fiege Real Estate is developing a multi-user facility in Borna, near Leipzig. Comprising 38,000 sqm of logistics space divided into four units, the hub is set to offer warehousing as well as office and social rooms for companies looking for a base in the Leipzig/Halle region.
The warehouse floor, equipped with a WGK-3 seal, may be used to store hazardous goods. For energy production, Fiege will install two photovoltaic systems on the roof of the hall to generate an output of 4,590 kW peak and deploy air-to-water heat pumps.
The developer will also add 40 EV charging stations and automated systems optimising energy consumption to further improve sustainability and achieve the EG-40 along with a DGNB Gold certification. The project is already underway and is expected to be completed in late summer 2025. (mk)
