Four takeovers in two years
Expanding the international network: Eurotranspharma is taking over Alex International Transport (AIT), a major GDP transport provider in Romania. Now part of the French Walden Group, AIT was founded in 1994. It transports medicines and healthcare products both in Romania and internationally.
The integration of AIT, which will be renamed Eurotranspharma Romania, is already the group’s fourth expansion in only two years.
Eurotranspharma expanded its network in Czechia and Slovakia in 2021 with the acquisition of specialised transport service providers, to be followed by another takeover in Spain in 2022.
With AIT, Eurotranspharma gains a nationwide presence in a strategically important and fast-growing market. The Romanian network comprises 35 GDP-certified cross-docking locations and more than 150 employees. (ben)
