Four eTraxx for European cross-border operations
PCC Intermodal has ordered four electric locomotives from Alstom. The locomotives will help the company to develop new transport projects and will also be used for the intermodal services in the Baltic-Adriatic corridor.
The contract covers the production of the locomotives, the certification, the training of PCC Intermodal staff, the provision of a full maintenance service and an option to order a fifth locomotive.
The Traxx MS3 locomotives will be deployed in cross-border operations between Poland, Germany, Austria, Czechia and Slovakia. All four locomotives shall be put into service before end of 2022. (ben)
