Flying horses and cows around the globe
AirBridgeCargo Airlines recently delivered nine racehorses from Moscow (Russia) to Amsterdam (the Netherlands) on board a B747-8F scheduled flight.
With the horses getting ready for one of the world’s competitions, an "ABC care" dedicated team orchestrated each step of the transport with the well-being of the animals as a priority. For such a project to be successful, it is crucial to reduce waiting periods – between warehouse and apron, for example – to a minimum.
In another move for big quadrupeds, the carrier organised a complex charter flight for 146 heifers together with its long-standing partner, Intradco Global. The request was unusual for its routing, Houston (TX, USA) – Bangkok (Thailand). The "ABC care" team started preparations long before the flight, scrutinising every detail of the complex delivery and remaining in constant contact with the customer. (ah)
