Flowfox links up with DCSA

The Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA) was founded in 2019 as a joint effort of carriers to support the development of global, digital standards in shipping.

Now, Flowfox is starting to work with DCSA on the import container release. The Hamburg-based logistics software developer Flowfox runs its own platform covering processes in addition container release, e.g. container reuse, drop-off change, pickup change and C/H instructions.

Patrick Pehmöller, CEO of Flowfox, outlines the challenges: “The container release processes today are typically manual, relying on nonstandard information exchanges that differ across multiple parties and locations, making the process highly inefficient. In early 2019, we started building our solutions, and we are excited to support DCSA in the creation of global standards leading to an efficient flow of import containers and information.” (sh)
