First transport under unified CIM/SMGS rules
Note Trans Container has launched its first international multimodal service shipping cargo from China to Germany under a unified CIM/SMGS consignment note.
The test shipment was performed recently. As part of the second shipment, Trans Container arranged the transport of 50 containers loaded with consumer goods from Wuhan (Hubei Province) in China to the port of Mukran in Germany.
The train was dispatched from Wuhan and through the Zabaikalsk border crossing point before proceeding to the Ust-Luga container terminal in Russia. Then, the goods will be transported by sea to their port of destination in Germany. Transit time via Russia is nine days, and the onward sea journey will take three days. (ben)
