First three of 40 Vectrons now in service
TX Logistik wants to strengthen its intermodal cross-border railfreight portfolio by expanding its locomotive fleet. The new Siemens locos will be deployed on the north-south corridors in Austria and Switzerland.
The first units to be delivered will initially operate in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, and later also in Switzerland and Italy.
In May 2023, Mercitalia subsidiary TX Logistik ordered a total of 40 Vectrons with various country batches. Twenty of them will be in service in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands, and the others in Germany, Austria and Italy. (ben)
