First South Korean H2 trucks arrive in Germany

Bremerhaven-based Hylane has taken delivery of the first Hyundai hydrogen-powered trucks to arrive in Germany. They are the first seven of a total of 27 XCIENT fuel cell vehicles that will be delivered directly from the plant in South Korea to Germany in the coming weeks.

Hylane, a rental company for trucks with alternative drives, will receive 17 of these environmentally friendly trucks, which have a range of around 400 km, in a first phase.

The HGV’s store the hydrogen in seven tanks, with an average refuelling time of ten minutes. As soon as they leave the ship, the vehicles go straight to the body-builders, where the customised versions (e.g. refrigerated or dry boxes) are constructed. (ben)
