First Japanese airport community with Iata CEIV Pharma
Kansai Airports (KIX) has announced that the KIX pharma community obtained Iata's CEIV Pharma earlier this month, becoming the first airport community in Japan to be awarded the certificate.
Partnering with international cargo handlers at KIX, including JAL Kansai Aircargo System, Hankyu Hanshin Express, Bolloré Logistics Japan, K.K. Mitsubishi Logistics Corporation and Yusen Logistics, Kansai Airports established the community in August 2017 with an aim to meet the industry’s international standard for air transportation of pharma products.
With all the community members being CEIV Pharma certified, more consistent quality throughout the supply chain will be ensured, thus offering customers safer and higher-quality pharma cargo service. (ah)
