First French B737-800 freighter

In time for Christmas, ASL Airlines France has put the first B737-800 freighter into operation. The passenger aircraft formerly operated by Pegasus Airlines and Ryanair was refitted by Boeing partner Staeco in China and delivered to Paris via Yekaterinburg (Russia) and Vilnius (Lithuania).

It complements the B737-300F, two B737-300QC and seven B737-400F of the fleet belonging to the French part of the ASL Group. The aircraft has a capacity of 178 cbm. ASL Airlines will fly it on behalf of Fedex Express.

Sister carriers ASL Airlines Ireland and ASL Airlines Belgium already operate two B737-800BCF each. However, they are not owned by ASL Aviation Holdings but dry-leased from Gecas. (ah)
