First electric Scania truck for Singapore
Singapore-based freight forwarder Jasico Express recently took delivery of a battery-electric truck from Scania, the first of its kind to be deployed in the city’s logistics sector. Jasico will use the truck exclusively to support the operations of DB Schenker, a business partner since 1993.
To ensure peak performance, the truck was acquired as a total solution with charging infrastructure, vehicle optimisation and repair and maintenance services.
The new Scania battery-electric truck comprises an L-series cab equipped with a box and tailgate to transport logistics cargo. Its nine lithium-ion batteries have an installed capacity of 300 kWh. (ben)
