Filling the truck with just a few clicks
DB Schenker has relaunched its Tool Drive4Schenker software. The electronic platform simplifies and improves communication between transport services providers and carriers, the company said.
After a successful trial in selected locations the tool will now be rolled out in 250 of DB Schenker’s overland transport hubs across Europe.
Freight forwarders can fill their trucks by just a few clicks on the platform. After online registration they can enter their preferred routes and types of cargo. DB Schenker’s dispatchers and its partner freight forwarders remain in control over their business, while the tool makes their interactions easier. Transport companies can access around 5,000 of DB Schenker’s loads per day. (ben)
