Felbermayr builds new headquarters
The family-run company Felbermayr has held the official ground-breaking ceremony for its new headquarters in Wels (Upper Austria). The senior director and owner Horst Felbermayr is pleased that the long search for a new location has come to an end: “We looked for a long time, we had to overcome many obstacles and had to make some compromises, too.”
But now it is time to look ahead. The construction project has been given an ambitious timetable. Completion is planned for the second quarter of 2021. The real estate will be built on a base area of 100,000 sqm and thus cover an area of 14 football pitches. The built-up plot will measure 40,000 sqm, contain ample room for offices, a 9,000 sqm workshop and adjacent halls.
An underground car park will provide sufficient parking space for about 400 cars. Spacious green areas with grass and plants in front of and between the administrative complex and the social buildings will offer room to relax and conceal the extended traffic areas behind them almost completely. (mw)
