Fedro promotes Valentina Kumpusch
Valentina Kumpusch will become the deputy director of Switzerland’s Federal Roads Office (Fedro) and head of the road infrastructure west division at the beginning of August 2022. In this position, she will be in charge of national road infrastructure in western Switzerland and the canton of Berne, and of maintenance planning and the operation of national roads throughout Switzerland.
She studied civil engineering at ETH Zurich and joined Fedro in March 2013. She currently oversees the construction of the second tube of the Gotthard road tunnel as overall project manager.
Before joining Fedro, Kumpusch worked as a project manager in various companies in the private sector. She will succeed Pascal Mertenat, who is stepping down for health reasons. (cj)
