Fast weekly rail service
MSC is launching a new, direct rail service connecting Trieste, Italy and Ludwigshafen, Germany, available from 10 September 2021. The service will improve rail capacity and reduce transit times between Turkey and Germany to 12 days.
Trains will run once a week and depart from Trieste every Thursday, arriving in Ludwigshafen every Saturday. They are designed to transport auto-parts, chemicals, textiles, packaging, food, pharmaceuticals and many other commodities with fast transit times between Turkey and Germany.
Ludwigshafen’s strategic position on the Rhine has easy access to Frankfurt and Stuttgart and access to the wider northern European market, while Trieste is an important Adriatic hub for both European and global trade. (ben)
