Extending crane fleet in Genoa
The Italian Spinelli Group has ordered the first Generation 6 Mobile Harbour cranes to extend its existing fleet of cranes at their terminal in Genoa, North Western Italy. The order was booked in July 2022 and the crane will be delivered in December the same year.
The Spinelli Group, which offers logistics services across Italy via a network of port terminals and intermodal centres, also owns and operates the Spinelli Genoa Port Terminal (GPT) for container handling in Genoa.
With over 500,000 TEU annual throughput, it is one of the busiest terminals in Italy. The new cranes - with a working radius of 61 m and a capacity of 125 t to serve vessels up to super-post-Panamax class - will provide additional capacity as container volumes continue to grow Also enhanced energy efficiency is a subject.
