Expanding West Africa Service with own ships

Arkas Line is enhancing its West Africa Service (WAS) by deploying only its own vessels, aiming to boost efficiency and expand its regional presence.

Four ships, the ‘Mario A’, the ‘Cristina A’, the ‘Jean Pierre A’ and the ‘Diane A’ (pictured), each of which can carry 1,600 teu, will cover the weekly rotation. Ports of call include Tangier, Casablanca, Dakar, Lagos (Tincan/Apapa), Tema, Abidjan, Nouakchott and back to Tangier.

Arkas Line, headquartered in Izmir and active in Africa since 2012, highlighted the fact that operating with its own tonnage will ensure more reliable schedules, shorter transit times and flexible solutions for customers. The move follows the launch of Arkas’s ‘India Med Service’ earlier this year; it reflects the company’s strategy of strengthening its network through fleet investments and customer-focused services.
