Expanded network for P400 semi-trailers

Kombiverkehr is expanding its train services with a new north-south connection via the Gotthard Pass. From 25 April, the German terminal Cologne-Eifeltor will receive a direct train connection to and from the Rail Hub Milano in Melzo in northern Italy.

With this new offer, the Frankfurt-based company is increasing its range of services to and from Italy to now more than 260 train departures per week. In addition to containers and swap bodies, the trains can also accommodate semi-trailers with a P400 profile. The transit time is 20 hours.

From Cologne, the service offers onward connections to Hamburg, the German Baltic ports of Kiel and Lübeck and terminals in Denmark and Sweden, Kombiverkehr says. (ben)
