Evri: a depot in Plymouth
Parcel service provider Evri, formerly Hermes UK, is opening a new depot in Plymouth (UK). The 18,000 sqm depot is located on the Parkway Industrial Estate and is almost double the size of the existing depot at Bell Close which has been managed by a 3PL.
The company invested more than GBP 1 million (EUR 1.17 million) into this in-sourcing site which increases capacity fivefold. Ethan Treble-Westlake, depot manager at the new Plymouth site, commented that “at our new depot we will be able to handle up to 480,000 parcels each week." (sh)
