Europa starts work on GBP 60 million logistics project
Work has started on Europa Worldwide Group’s new GBP 60 million, future-proofed 66,425 sqm logistics facility. Based at Midlands Logistics Park in Corby (Northants, UK), the scheme is due for completion in June 2020. The site will become Europa’s largest facility in the UK and will double the company's warehouse portfolio.
Andrew Baxter, managing director at Europa Worldwide Group said: “We’re delighted to announce this huge investment in our logistics operation at a time of massive growth at Europa. This is the single biggest investment we have ever made since I acquired the business in 2013 and it demonstrates our ambition to strengthen our 3PL operation at a time of huge market growth particularly for e-commerce logistics.”
Corby is an established and strategic industrial and distribution location in the heart of the East Midlands and benefits from excellent connectivity due to recent road network upgrades. (mw)
