EUR 11 million for green vehicles
After having handled 170,000 flights and served more than 21 million passengers at Rome Fiumicino Airport (Italy) in 2023, Swissport will now invest some EUR 11 million in eco-friendly vehicles on this site.
Many of these new units will be electric-powered, in line with the airport ground services and air cargo handler’s strategy to increase the share of e-vehicles in its fleet to at least 55% by 2032.
Swissport Italy says it will continue its plan to further modernise and electrify its fleet of ground support vehicles to achieve its net zero emissions goal by 2050. (cj)
