Etihad Cargo to work with B Medical Systems
Etihad Cargo, the cargo and logistics arm of Etihad Aviation Group, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with B Medical Systems, a manufacturer and global distributor of medical refrigeration devices based in Luxembourg.
Under the MOU, which was announced during the BIO International Convention, held in San Diego, USA, from 13-16 June 2022, the companies will join forces to develop and launch an airline-specific passive temperature-controlled solution for the transportation of life-saving drugs, vaccines and high-value pharmaceuticals. To this end, the partners aim to create more sustainable temperature-controlled container units based on passive cooling technology. (cj)
