ESR to develop logistics park in Gujarat
Expanding its presence in Gujarat in India, the logistic construction specialist ESR has acquired a 154.000 sqm site in Sanand and will invest INR 4 billion (EUR 0.04 billion) in the construction and development of a logistics park.
With the project, ESR aims to capitalise on the growth of electric vehicle manufacturing in the state. The facility will be ESR's second investment in Gujarat, the first being Jalisana, a 150.000 sqm property.
The site is close to Sanand Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), currently home to 25 multinational and 300 domestic companies across various sectors, including automobile, auto ancillaries, FMCG, engineering, plastics, packaging, and electronics and is a growing market for electric vehicle manufacturing. Its proximity to Ahmedabad city centre makes it an ideal location for warehousing for e-commerce and 3PL companies, ESR said. (ben)
