Enhanced rail connectivity in North West UK
MSD has launched a new rail service connecting the East Midlands and the Port of Liverpool in UK. The new rail service runs five days a week. Delivering container shipping services to the Port of Liverpool for almost 20 years, this new rail service cements the company’s long-term commitment to the North West and the strong partnership with Peel Ports.
MSC UK has worked closely in partnership with rail operator, GB Railfreight, to establish and launch the new service, which will allow customers to reduce their road miles and fuel consumption on the land leg of journeys – enabling more sustainable supply chains, MSC said. (ben)
