Electronic toll solution now covers 18 countries
UTA Edenred has once again expanded the number of toll contexts available for its interoperable toll box, adding Croatia and Slovenia to its network. The 4G-compatible UTA on-board unit (OBU) for the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) can now handle 20 toll contexts in 18 European countries.
According to the company, it is currently the most comprehensive EETS OBU on the market. From 1 January 2025, the UTA Edenred platform will also be able to process tolls for the Danish route network.
Denmark is leaving the Eurovignette at the end of 2024 and will introduce a new independent toll system. An OBU update for the Czech toll context is also in preparation. (ben)
