Elbe Flugzeugwerke picks Jordi Boto

Jordi Boto has been appointed CEO of Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW). He succeeds Andreas Sperl, who left the company after more than 15 years of growth. Boto’s previous position was COO, where he had been responsible for driving the ramp-up of the conversion from passenger to cargo aircraft at EFW since November 2020.

Boto brings more than two decades of global experience in the aviation industry, including key positions at Airbus. From 2006, under Boto’s direction, ATR, a manufacturer of regional turboprop aircraft, was able to increase the rate from just six to over 70 aircraft per year. In 2009, Boto was elected SVP of Airbus’s Power8 programme before becoming CEO of PFW Aerospace Speyer, an Airbus supplier, in 2012. (cj)
