E-ship 1 enters global charter market
Enercon and EMS Chartering have partnered to optimise the utilisation of Enercon’s wind-assisted cargo vessel, "E-Ship 1," enhancing its presence on the charter market. This collaboration enables third-party cargo transport alongside Enercon's wind turbine components, improving capacity utilisation and sustainability.
EMS Chartering will contribute its extensive experience in vessel chartering and global shipping to promotiing the "E-Ship 1" as part of its fleet, offering customers enhanced reliability with pre-determined routes and departure times.
The vessel, which has 3,600 sqm of below-deck space and advanced lifting capabilities, provides flexible options for transporting diverse breakbulk cargo. Equipped with innovative sail rotor technology and fuel-efficient design, the "E-Ship 1" achieves up to 15% fuel savings.
With this deal, both companies underscore their commitment to sustainable and efficient services and their determination to meet the evolving needs of global shipping and renewable energy logistics. (pb)
