Dutch inland navigation bundles forces
In the Netherlands, the board of the Koninklijke Binnenvaart Nederland (KBN) and the interim board of the Expertise and Innovation Centre for Inland Shipping (EICB), Bureau Voorlichting Binnenvaart (BVB) and Bureau Telematica Binnenvaart (BTB), have decided that the future joint inland shipping house will be located in Zwijndrecht.
After a scrupulous decision process, taking into account various key criteria and the express wish of the boards of KBN and EICB/BVB/BTB to establish a joint location, the choice fell on the "Scheepmakerij" in Zwijndrecht, which will be upgraded to a modern and future-proof office. After the renovation, the three institutions are expected to move into the new office in autumn 2022. (sh)
