Duisport expands packaging business
Duisport’s Packing Logistics division (DPL), which has been part of the group since 2007, took over RTI Packaging’s branch in Göppingen, Germany, on 1 January 2023. Jan-Malte Wöhrle, managing director at DPL, spoke of "increased storage space and increased crane capacity."
The site in Göppingen includes a hall area of around 4,000 sqm as well as open areas for storing packaged goods. The hall can be reached by cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 39 t.
In addition to site-related activities such as storage, packing and crate production, Göppingen is also the starting point for in-house packing and plant logistics activities in the region.
Headquartered in Duisburg, Duisport Packing Logistics now has more than 20 locations worldwide and around 500 employees. (sh)
