Dual-fuel LNG vessel to decarbonise auto supply
Suardiaz Shipping Lines has partnered with Eastern Pacific Shipping to acquire a dual-fuel LNG-powered PCTC vessel with a 5,500 ceu capacity, set for delivery in Q2/2027. This move is part of Suardiaz's USD 200 million fleet renewal plan aimed at decarbonising the automotive supply chain and enhancing customer service.
The new vessel will improve capacity for vehicles and high & heavy cargo, strengthening routes between Northern Europe and North Africa.
Combined with the earlier acquisition of the PCTC vessel “M/V Asturias”, this addition underscores Suardiaz's commitment to sustainable maritime operations. It also reflects the company’s strategy to meet growing customer demand while maintaining its pioneering role in Spain’s shipping industry. Suardiaz aims to further roll out its offerings based on demand on its operational routes. (pb)
