Driver scoring kit axes incidents by 87%
The GPS navigation vendor Sygic has unveiled a new driver scoring kit (SDK) for truck fleets. The new software works offline and is easy to integrate into existing solutions, including mobile apps and fleet management, without any additional hardware costs.
To achieve the best accuracy, the technology uses smartphones sensors including the GPS position and accelerometer. Based on this data, the algorithm analyses the driver’s behaviour behind the wheel in real time and then produces an overall rating.
Companies which use the driver scoring kit recorded an 87% decrease in incidents and a 30% drop in vehicles maintenance, according to Sygic. (ben)
