DP World's investment in London Gateway
DP World has marked a decade at London Gateway with a GBP 56 million (USD 69 million) investment in four automated stacking cranes (ASCs), bolstering the company’s supply chain infrastructure in the UK.
These cranes, supplied by Finnish manufacturer Konecranes, are part of developments for the upcoming all-electric fourth berth, which is expected to increase the hub's capacity by a third when it opens next year.
London Gateway, operational since 2013, is now the UK's fastest growing and most technologically advanced container port. It is part of DP World's global operations, which span 78 countries and handle 10% of world trade. (pb)
