DP World: global expansion ahead
Dubai-based terminal and port operator DP World is set to enhance its container handling capabilities by adding approximately 3 million teu of capacity by the end of 2023.
This expansion will increase the group's total capacity to around 93.6 million teu. Notable expansions are anticipated in locations such as Caucedo (Dominican Republic), Yarimca (Turkey), Sokhna (Egypt), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), among others.
The strategic investment, part of DP World's USD 2.0 billion global budget for 2023, aims to strengthen its role as a global supply chain solutions provider, facilitating connections between economies, businesses, and consumers worldwide. (pb)
