Digital solution for import containers
Dakosy, Hamburg, und dbh Logistics IT, Bremen, are developing a joint solution for the digitalised release process of import containers in Germany's sea ports. The first shipping companies and freight forwarders are expected to join the platform already this year.
The joint German solution will be marketed under the brand "German Ports" in future. The software is to be standardised and digitised in the ports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Bremen and Wilhelmshaven.
Blockchain technology is part of the solution. The release process is a sensitive issue, since the release order entitles the owner to release the containers which often contain goods of considerable value. (sh)
